I mean how.....what.....where.....is it the same Gone From This Place as John ran through in some of the 1980 demos?
One track has blown my mind

I am VERY dissapointed with this release, it does look magnificent but there is NO mention of "Woman is the N****r of the world" why have you left it off it is a great song and it leaves "New York City: the much-anticipated re-imagining of the Sometime In New York City album with accompanying Evolution and Elements Mixes" rather incomplete it is also missing from the concert videos too which is a travesty. We cannot rewrite history and shouldn't censor it either, an explanation regarding the song could have been included with it.

I’m pretty disappointed with it too, the rest looks great but they shouldn’t have cut it. We shouldn’t be erasing history. At least before the song or somewhere give the context and intent of it.

Great message, but has NOT aged well with the word choice. I understand trying to avoid conflict or “getting cancelled” nowadays, not wanting to complicate things with the release, etc. but it’s the estates decision at the end of the day

Yeah, it’s understandable but a bit upsetting. Hopefully they tell us something about why they chose that. It shouldn’t just be totally erased. Maybe a page of the book could be dedicated to it and why the chose not to put it in!

I wonder why the one disc says Elements Mixes if they aren't in the tracklist.

it's a typo. Also 'Imagine' somehow got missed off the evening show listing. Both should be corrected now.

Glad you picked up on this!! I was thinking the same about "It's Real" - did Real Love have its roots that early!?

Although the context of the protest using the n-word in the song is simple and genuine, it remains in poor taste because neither of both has the racial right to use it. Removing it from the music box was the best decision! This is called evolving and understanding the issue. Black people deserve the respect they demand when they complain about this song. Don't worry, the song still exists if you want to listen to it.
