The Beatles Anthology 30th Anniversary (Audio: Nov. 21st & Doc: Nov. 26th)

I personally CANNOT wait to hear the unbooted In My Life (take 1); currently listening to take 2 and take 3. The unbooted Nowhere Man (first version - take 3) is gonna be a gem of a listen as well!!

2023,2024,2025 years were detours but I'm confident the SDE album series will continue in the fall of '26 and beyond. FYI - there are plenty of outtakes to fill the remaining sets; I've got physical proof! ha
In My Life is my fav song so I’m super excited about the new release.

Same, for the crumbs we are getting it's nice there are some songs included with little to no bootlegged or officially released outtakes, like 'Tell My Why', 'If I Fell', 'Matchbox', 'Every Little Thing', 'I Need You', 'I've Just Seen A Face', 'In My Life', 'Nowhere Man' and 'Baby, You're a Rich Man'.

I think there are some new things in the new trailer that came out this morning for the Anthology, I had read a lot about it, more like some modifications in some sounds

The Anthology 1–3 audio series, you mean? Some tracks on Anthology 1 have been fully demixed-remixed back to mono, while other originally mono recordings have subtle stereo ambience added. They either did not go back to the multi-tracks for everything or decided to honour the original 90s set-up, since some 4-track recordings are still in mono, though still remastered. Other tracks which were in mono are now actually in stereo. Certain live recordings have been demixed-remixed in stereo, while other tracks are simply remastered from the same source. Many tracks have been very slightly extended or trimmed at the beginning or end. A couple of songs are edited differently from the 1990s series or the 2011 remasters.

Another slow day at work (week before the upcoming US Labor Day holiday) and I'm A/B'ing Free As a Bird ('95 mix vs. '25 mix); ABSOLUTELY incredible. We are coming from kine-scope to 4K UHD. To have this on Anthology 4 is going to be a treat.

It is a further evolution of the 2015 1+ remix.

Yes, I think they have made quite a few modifications that are quite noticeable, I don't know if I will miss the original versions, I will certainly do so, but these new remixes and Tofo have given them a bit of an air a little more different and I think there have been some conspiracies about some supposed modifications in some letters that I think were already modified in these years

That sounds incredibly mysterious, please tell us more, haha.

Adjustments to the upcoming Anthology Collection (copied over from various online groups):

The following speech tracks were cleaned up
John Lennon Speech 1 (We were four guys)
John Lennon Speech 2 (Brian was a beautiful guy)
Brian Epstein Speech 1 (I secured them an audition)

That’ll Be The Day and In Spite of All the Danger are mono MAL remixes with a slight stereo ambience effect. The section in between the two tracks has been trimmed by 1 second.

The following tracks have been remixed in mono with MAL.
Hallelujah I Love Her So
You’ll Be Mine
Cayenne
I’ll Get You (London Palladium)
Everybody’s Trying to Be My Baby (Shea Stadium)
Rock and Roll Music (Budokan)
She’s a Woman (Budokan)

The following live tracks have been remixed in stereo with MAL.
Twist and Shout (Royal Variety Performance)
All My Loving (Ed Sullivan Show)
Help! (Blackpool Night Out)

The following tracks had their stereo narrowed.
Tomorrow Never Knows (Take 1)
Across the Universe (Take 2)

The following tracks were originally mono but now have varying amounts of stereo ambience applied to them.
Love Me Do (EMI Recording Test)
One After 909 (False Starts)
One After 909 (Takes 4+5)
Can’t Buy Me Love (Takes 2+1)
You Can’t Do That (Take 6)
And I Love Her (Take 2)
A Hard Day’s Night (Take 1)
You Know What to Do
Mr. Moonlight (Take 1)
Strawberry Fields Forever (Demo)
The Fool on the Hill (Demo)
Happiness Is a Warm Gun (Demo)

Many of the fades are different by very minor amounts, resulting in a bit extra audio on some tracks. Bolded tracks feature previously unreleased/unbootlegged audio.

The following tracks are longer at the end
The Sheik of Araby, 0.9 seconds
Shout, 4 seconds
I’ll Be Back (Take 3), 1.2 seconds
You Know What to Do, 1.2 seconds
No Reply (Demo), 0.8 seconds
Leave My Kitten Alone, 3 seconds
Yesterday (Take 1), 0.3 seconds
It’s Only Love, 0.4 seconds
Norwegian Wood, 0.4 seconds
I’m Only Sleeping (Rehearsal), 0.3 seconds
Don’t Pass Me By, 0.6 seconds
Maxwell’s Silver Hammer, 0.8 seconds
Something, 1.5 seconds
The following tracks are longer at the beginning
Mother Nature’s Son, 0.1 seconds
I Will, 0.3 seconds

The following tracks are sourced from previous SDEs
Helter Skelter (Take 2), 2018 stereo version edited down to Anthology length
Mean Mr. Mustard (Demo), 2018 mix narrowed
Polythene Pam (Demo), 2018 mix
Glass Onion (Demo), 2018 mix
Piggies (Demo), 2018 mix narrowed
Honey Pie (Demo), 2018 mix edited down to Anthology length
Oh! Darling (Jam), 2021 mix including the edited section from 0:05-0:09 and the misplaced guitar note at 3:50 that is on several LIBSDE tracks.
Get Back (Rooftop Take 3), from 2022 rooftop release

And some changes that don’t fit any category
There’s a clap at 0:31 of Shout that was removed in the original release
Shout has been edited further, 0:26-0:28 of the Anthology mix have been cut out
Mr. Moonlight (Take 4) is now in stereo
4:21-4:29 of You Know My Name is now mono when it was previously stereo.
