I do wonder if it was shuffled forward for ‘certain reasons’. Generally, two Beatle releases aren’t announced within 2 weeks, they usually alternate seasons.

Also, the lead time of 3 months for ‘Anthology’ is quite hefty, 6 - 8 weeks is the norm. Amazingly, Red & Blue was only announced two weeks before release; Now & Then even less.

I was 12 and became obsessed with them during the Anthology. My momma begged me to watch it with her. I instantly fell in love the moment In My Life plays. Then seeing the Beatles personalities I couldn’t help but love them.

I was also 12, but it was some 14 years earlier, in 1981

Now that the song is OFFICIALLY out, I’d say I’m pretty impressed! There’s moments where I still find it hard to understand what he’s singing, but the background vocals, instruments and all bring it out so well! Definitely touched my heart - I can’t WAIT for Real Love

I totally agree it’s sounds so clear and I too am looking forward to the Real Love 2025 Mix.

I personally love it but I understand this remix will be divisive.

The instrumental backing is mixed pretty well. For the rest the same story again. So many technological options to rebuild frequencies to mask low-fidelity recordings - without re-generating! - and then match the EQ to a comparable 70s studio vocal or the 90s vocals, and THEN blend it seamlessly with some effects. And there are so many higher-fidelity recordings to choose from for this song. Yet this is what they ended up with: a lo-fi cassette isolation, slapped-on dry over the 90s overdubs, sometimes out of sync. At this point, I no longer know whether it’s incompetence, laziness, or just cynicism.

The upscaling on the video linked above is horrid as well, just like the 'Free As A Bird' video.

I never had a problem understanding the words, but his vocals are so clear now, I’m blown away. The whoosh is gone, apparently his piano is gone and it sounds as if he came out of the bathroom to sing this time. I still like the old version, but this is a good addition to my collection as well.
I also await Real Love with great anticipation. I hope they can do something about the pitch.

One of the modifications that I also loved a lot was John's voice, the softness and slowness that they added is a magical touch, which has undoubtedly made him stand out too much, I'm dying to see the premiere of all the new stuff they have for us, unreleased material that many of us have undoubtedly waited for years to see, witness, learn more about, I wonder about all the great stuff we'll see and I know it will be a big impact this year For all the lovers of these, it is the beginning of many things to come, that's how I feel, everything is coming together, Paul and his album, the release of Power To The People, simply greatness of happiness, emotion this makes us feel that living all of these things every day is truly worth it

People may note the 1+ mix is the best medium ground. But the 2025 remix is going to gain some traction on commentary when it's officially released.

A fan remix, not the 2025 version. And in comparison it actually stands out, with a completely different sound. Yet the out-of-sync vocals oddly make it feel convincing, and unfortunately it doesn’t sound much better than the 2025 remix, owing to Apple’s lack of expertise and quality control.

I personally CANNOT wait to hear the unbooted In My Life (take 1); currently listening to take 2 and take 3. The unbooted Nowhere Man (first version - take 3) is gonna be a gem of a listen as well!!

2023,2024,2025 years were detours but I'm confident the SDE album series will continue in the fall of '26 and beyond. FYI - there are plenty of outtakes to fill the remaining sets; I've got physical proof! ha
