My friend Susie, age 11, on summer vacation visiting cousins in Denver, was taken along to this concert.

"As they played to a crowd of nearly 7,000 fans, the Fab Four's August 26th appearance in Colorado marked the sixth stop on their summer 1964 United States and Canada tour.
Surprisingly though, they did not sell out Red Rocks, which at that time could've held nearly double that amount of people. In fact, only two shows from that entire tour were not sold out.
Red Rocks, however, is one of the only remaining venues visited during that tour that's still operating today. This was the only time the group, as a foursome, came to Colorado.
The Bill Black Combo and several other acts opened the show, with The Beatles coming on and taking the stage at 9:30 p.m.
They played a set list of 12 songs, starting with Twist and Shout and ending with Long Tall Sally.
Tickets were just $6.60."
