An interesting question as we take a fresh look at the puzzle.
Are the words pre-filled on the "blank" grid absolutely in the correct position?
I’m thinking of them like “the joker” of the grid so right now don’t think the letters have one exact positionAn interesting question as we take a fresh look at the puzzle.

I think people need to have the box to find the words, no?There is no requirement I know of to buy anything to play the puzzle.
Since you have completed Disc One of the escape game, you should go for it!
You're already a rock star!
Even if you have no way to print out an image of the ID card, it is not difficult to play the game with paper and pencil.
Start with a nine by nine square grid and go for it!

MINDGAMES is definitely supposed to stay where it is, but I think we repeat it one more timeIt makes zero sense that the printed "MINDGAMES" letters wouldn't belong where they are originally shown. They are printed that way both on the card and the lucite panel inside of the expensive set version. Using either a pencil on the card, or the letter squares on the lucite, there is no way to remove them -- so that has to be where they stay. I believe that visual "clue" showing MIND and GAMES placed differently is a false flag. Given all of the previous clues in this thread, the words don't fit within that different configuration and letter constraints -- the Ls and Cs specifically. I just wasted another three hours trying that out.

I think this is a clue
all of these clues have ended up putting me farther behind overall, and painted more into an unsolvable corner than I previously was. Those highlighted boxes that we virtually can't use now for whatever random reason, besides being forced to fill them with overall unhelpful letters either way, turns a puzzle I could have had finished weeks ago into a frustrating, anxiety-filled, not fun compulsion.

I see! I actually have 5 Ms here counting Mind Games, maybe I’ve guessed the wrong words for the LPs that I don’t haveBut there are only 3 Ms available. Repeating Mind Games vertically as shown in the photo would require 4. It appears that the M in the vertical "GAMES" is actually an upside down W. Either that is a clue or the photo is a red herring.
There are many resources available to find all the words without buying the box set by looking around the world wide web on other forums.I think people need to have the box to find the words, no?
Oh, I didn’t know that! I don’t really participate in any other forum! There are many resources available to find all the words without buying the box set by looking around the world wide web on other forums.
They were all found by the end of July.
I have had the deluxe box that long, but I need hints from other kind folks to find a few of them.
Another "open secret":Oh, I didn’t know that! I don’t really participate in any other forum!
Yes! That was easy to realize, and that’s why the puzzle is insane, they managed to create one with a lot referencesAnother "open secret":
Every one of the words that fill the puzzle are in the lyrics of the Mind Games song.
Once you have completed Disc One, solving the word puzzle is the next step to win 99,999 points.
The clues are on the physical Citizen of Nutopia ID card and relate to the contents of the Super Deluxe box set and the lyrics of Mind Games.
You will also need to refer to the image that was emailed to you when you solved a puzzle in the Dining Room.
If you only have the Standard Deluxe Box Set (with the CDs and BluRays) you should be able to find 15 of the answers and guess the other two answers for the LPs clues.
Good Luck!
I think it’s a wonderful idea that we keep discussing the puzzle here, just like we are doing with Escape to Nutopia! It’s even more fun when we can play together! The Collector's Edition Super Deluxe box referenced above costs $1,350 plus shipping & local tax, and is "Strictly Numbered and Limited to only 1100 pieces."
But Citizen ID cards were included with every version of the discs sold, and the Escape game is offered to all who register, no purchase of any kind required.
Photos of the contents of the massive Super Deluxe "Cube" have been widely shared on the web for months.
So I assume it's permitted to share images and hints in this thread for the benefit of ALL 14,720+ registered citizens of Nutopia who might want to participate in solving the puzzle?
Plenty of us have the Standard Deluxe Box.
Who needs a hint?
As David Letterman used to say about Stupid Pet Tricks:
"This is not a competition, only an exhibition!"
I'm up to 43+ hours on this puzzle since the summer. That letter placement clue in your spoiler from GDN early in this thread was helpful for the top row at the time. The GDN clue that none of the highlighted boxes could be used as part of the puzzle words is what really threw a huge wrench in solving this.I feel your pain, fellow citizen.
Like you, I have had no luck trying to solve this version of the puzzle, showing hints and clues offered so far:
I'm sorry you feel you "wasted another three hours," but thanks for your input.
I have yet to spend that amount of time with it, but I am trying to free my mind so my butt might follow.
After going "through the looking glass" in these games, where it's like Alice In Wonderland, I'm trying to accept that things might "make zero sense" until other possibilities are explored.
An alternate version of the game board, using the clues, but allowing the MINDGAMES letters to be placed anywhere on the grid, even split into two words, seems to open up many more possibilities for nine, seven, & six-letter words to have space to run diagonally & share letters.
Hey @Good Dog Nigel, this clue here, was it about the Teenager Engineering Speaker? Was there any clues on the Speaker itself? Did I miss something? Or was it about the box inside Escape to Nutopia? That's a very good question. One of the best questions, in fact. And you'll need to find a box to find out why, on Oct 9.
Oh, ok! Thank youIt’s referring to the Danger Box in the game.
