If this is a bug loop, I think the best thing you can do is restart, but for that not to happen again try using different commands next time. From what I’m seeing here, you are not using the commands that will let you move inside the apartment. Read the main text again, it has more directed clues

Hey!I took a break for some days during the holiday weekend/New Year to spend time with family and friends, only to find I'm still stuck in the same cycle and far from accessing the kitchen!
It's awesome to see everybody who has successfully completed disk one so far (congratulations to you!!) so there's some hope I might be able to conquer this thing after all, haha!

Just use the phone normally - call whoever you need to call - and you’ll be fine!
What threw me off is the fact that I could call two other numbers earlier in the game buy just picking up the receiver and dialing, so when the number for the plumbers didn't work I assumed it was a red herring or a number to be used later in the game.

and if you are stuck in the hallway (it does feel like a labyrinth sometimes) open your Mind Games book on page 100 & 101, that will definitely help you!
