♾ ESCAPE TO NUTOPIA ***NO SPOILERS***

Hey fellow nutopians! I really need help here. I'm stuck with a bug in the kitchen. I have already restarted the game four times and everytime I end up having the same issue. The thing is, there are things I really need to grab and that I know are there, but for some reason cannot grab them. e.g: "You see (item)" -Grab item -"There is no such item here". I have tried in so many ways and replayed the whole game multiple times but I always end up stuck in this situation.
Thanks in advance!

Hi! It happened to me a couple of times too, instead of restarting completely, just type “restore” and try grabbing the item again, if it’s a bug, that will solve it. Also, check you inventory, it might be full and that’s why you can’t grab some things, it happened to some of us. There are other things that “grab” might not work really, so try using the command “examine item” instead, especially items that you don’t really need to collect, just check them out

Yes, after I read someone else's response to a post who was having similar problems.
There's a few circumstances like this, where a task will work easily under one set of circumstances, and not work at all under others, so you have to keep trying. Also you may find that in some cases there are several different answers for the same command.

If your ambition is to complete the game as fast as possible, you will need to play it a number of times, and do certain things in a certain order - a bit like finding your way through a maze. Every time you play it you will get faster at doing it, and discover the pitfalls and traps that prevent you from completing rapidly, enabling you to do it faster the next time.

If you take it at a slower pace, with a more inquisitive and playful approach to the game, you will likely discover a number of items, responses and adventures that were not obvious at first, when playing it at speed.

thats for sure! I must have restarted 30 times while trying to beat it, and I got so fast at everything by the end. I tried to beat it as fast as possible once I actually solved everything and was able to get it in around 4 minutes

Ever since I've discovered I can use all five senses on objects I encounter, I've been taking my sweet time and appreciating all of the thoughtfulness put into the game.
