Introduce Yourself

Hi everyone.
My name is Christian Perry.
I live in Canberra (Ngunnawal Ngambri country), capital city of Australia.
I've been obsessed with The Beatles / John Lennon ever since I saw "The Beatles Anthology" documentary television series on TV, as a 9 year old child back in 1995, so I guess that makes me a "Beatles Anthology" era fan. It was only a few years after that there was the release of "John Lennon Anthology" boxset, so there were a decent number songs I heard the outtakes of, before the original studio versions!
Anyway, I'd like to think that John Lennon's music, lyrics and poetry helped shaped the person I am today.
I hope that someday the world can live as one.
Peace and love ✌️

Welcome to Nutopia! It's great to have you here, what a wonderful story of finding John and the Beatles. Hope you enjoy your time here :)

Hey Nutopians! My name is Tom and I live in the Virginia suburbs right across the Potomac from Washington, D.C.

I’ve been listening to John and Yoko’s music (and all those in their orbit) for the last 30 years—I’m sure the Beatles’ ‘64-65 output is some of the first stuff I heard in my parents’ car 😂

I’m tremendously excited for the Power to the People announcement tomorrow, and see it as a culmination of this wonderful multi-media evolution that Yoko, Sean, and the team started with the Mind Games re-release (side note—eagerly awaiting my Lumenate Nova headset, having been a user from the jump 🤓).

Thank you to everyone for making this art and history such a wonderful universe to explore—the depth of the literature, film, recordings, etc. now available to us is remarkable, and having an official community forum to discuss it all has me walking on air!

Welcome to Nutopia, Tom! Great to have you here - I think some of the first music I ever heard would have been some Beatles '64 and '65 masterpieces (incredible to think of all the musical revolutions by Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, Starr, Ono, etc. yet to come when listening to those tracks, right?)

We're all eagerly awaiting the announcement soon, and it's brilliant to have this community of Nutopians to share it with - I know you'll feel right at home here! Glad you could join us.

Olá, Nutopia! É um grande prazer estar com vocês.
Meu nome é Nina, tenho 19 anos e sou brasileira.
Welcome nina!

Hello Nutopia,

My name is Eleanor, I am a huge Beatles fan, John is my favourite and I have a huge tattoo of him on my arm. I am from England, and I go on yearly trips to Liverpool. I am an English Teacher but I am currently writing my first novel, and John Lennon is a character. I’ve done lots of research into him, how he spoke, his ideas, his interviews. And I’ve only just discovered this forum and would love to be a part of it.
I will be fascinated to see your book, it will undoubtedly be beautiful 💓

Jerry Levitan made a fantastic, award-winning and Oscar-nominated film based on the audio of his 1969 interview with John & Yoko. It's called 'I Met The Walrus' and you find out more here.
How interesting, I still remember when I read that a long time ago, I definitely loved it

Hello Christian, it's nice to have you here I'm glad you're part of this great community ⭐

Hello everyone!
My name is Neo and I’m an aspiring artist doing a bachelor of Fine Arts. I’m relatively new to The Beatles (started listening May of this year 😅) but I quickly fell in love with them, especially John. Funnily enough, me researching Yoko’s ‘Cut Piece’ for an art history essay was what got me into them and her. I’m not particularly active online but I would love to share my art with all of you! ❤️❤️
Hello Neo, welcome, how incredible that we share the same love for Yoko's work ❤

Hi Everyone! Fellow Lennonians! I'm a musician from Dallas Texas currently living and performing in Austin. The Beatles became a BIG (the biggest) influence on me as a 3 or 4 year boy (possibly even earlier) when I heard 'I am the Walrus' and made my mom play the song over and over and over. I remember the moment. It remains a fave to this day. I also latched onto the Yellow Submarine and Help movies very young before age 5. I have a belief that my mom who saw the Beatles in Dallas at age 14 (she had me age 17) was listening to the new Beatles album at the time Magical Mystery Tour which came out a week or so before I was born and that it had a major lasting impact on me from hearing it in the womb. The Beatles and John Lennon have been with me my whole life, the good and the bad and has helped me through troubled times.. I don't know where id be without them. I never met John but I met Sean at a Plastic Ono Band gig in a club in Austin. He was very cool to me and told me to hang around and that mom was coming later! We were told not to approach Yoko , which was understandable, and I respected. She walked right past me and I flashed her the peace sign , she looked at me and smiled and flashed it back! A life highlight for me! I also saw The Radio City Music Hall show with Ringo, Paul and Yoko! I was able to wish Ringo "Happy Birthday Ringo we love you man!" and pat him on the back earlier that day as it was his 70th ..And Paul once acknowledged me from the stage when I was holding a 'PEACE THROUGH MUSIC' bumper sticker I bought outside. Linda nudged him to show him and he gave me the thumbs up! Anyway I ramble on, I could go on about Lennon and The Beatles forever! Favorite song ' A Day in The Life'...It cannot be topped!
PEACE LOVE & MUSIC ✌️💙🎶
