What’s your favorite Beatles related movie?

Just recently I rewatched Across The Universe from 2007 and I really didn’t like it this time. The first time, it was a way to connect with the Beatles song in a different way, I guess. This time around I found it really rushed, a lot didn’t make any sense even if the intention was to be psychedelic. They could have done much greater dynamics with the characters, especially knowing the story behind the songs the names were from.

And to this day, my favorite Beatles related movies are the ones the Beatles starred at.

You are very right in your point of view, I think the same, the truth is that I was disappointed by that movie, and my favorites are the ones they have starred in exactly all of them.

Across The Universe lacked connection with the characters, everything was so forced and nothing was deep, while the Beatles songs are all so deep

Exactly, I mean, they didn't give it that meaning, that depth as it should have been, because that's the meaning of the songs and that should have been captured there.

Just watched Nowhere Boy. I thought it was well done.

My favourite is Two of Us to be honest. Probably because it explores John's psyche quite a bit as well as being fun, like he feels like a whole person which biopics that are just recounting what happened aren't very good at. And I think the portrayal of the dynamic between John & Paul is really well done :]
