🔴 POWER TO THE PEOPLE - Announcement coming on 14 August 2025

Keep in mind that recent photo-shopped face of Frank Zappa on John's shirt. This indicates the possible inclusion of the J&Y tracks w/Zappa from '71; be it as a remix on the STiNYC ultimate remix album or on it's own live disc along with his other '71 performances. I cannot see Live Peace in Toronto as it's own deluxe release in the future - this may be the time to present them in remixed form in Power to the People.

I look at PttP as an Anthology of all his live performances up to the August '72 One to One shows.

Gonna be fascinating in less than 24 hrs time...
I get what you are saying but even then I really don’t see how Live Peace In Toronto fits in with a set that’s featuring basically everything J&Y from 1972.
Well soon find out however 😊

This Anthology ('69-'72) is a special set; ESPECIALLY with the Ann Arbor demos at the Campus Inn (now the Graduate hotel). I work in the greater Ann Arbor area and spend significant time down there each fall; so that is very special to me personally. I'd like to book the hotel that was formally called the Campus Inn and play those demos in that building for the first time in 54 years.

I'll let the Hoffman forum continue the "controversy" discussion over there - for this new set; I understand why in this social media / hyper reactive world (though I am not without empathy for both sides). Some Time in New York City album has not been edited nor deleted from the discography; that artistic statement stands. This new Anthology culls from that album along with the One to One shows; this is just another window peak into the past. Sean and the team do not deserve all their hard work to be in jeopardy over a single track. Look at what we got from it......

Interesting to note - there are no One to One band rehearsal tracks on this set from August 18-25. Perhaps there were no multitracks from those rehearsals...

After yesterday's social media/YT platform of personal grievances of what is not on the set; what are folks most looking forward to within the box set? The various '69/'71 shows, the NYC remix, NYC jams/evolution/elements, O2O afternoon/evening remixes, Ann Arbor demos, St. Regis demos, etc?

The acoustic demos for sure!! Hearing John just being John, piecing together his work is going to feel like such a personal experience :)
