So it's confirmed, Harris Dickinson is our new cinematographic John Lennon.

I didn't really like it when the rumor first started because I thought Paul Mescal was clearly a better option to be 60s John, but I warmed up to Harris over the months and I'm really hoping to see great things coming from him. I'm quite sure that as an actor he can deliver, I just now hope he'll work alongside a great team that will help him understand the real John.

How are you guys feeling about it after the confirmation?

The movies will have their inaccuracies, simply because that’s how most biopics go. What I’m hoping to see is the effort he puts into the research and the lengths he’ll go to try and get into John’s mind. I want to see him go down all the rabbit holes that WE have, to see him becomes superfans like US!! That’s the one thing he can control. And if he’s passionate about the role and his career, I have faith šŸ¤ž

Had been thinking exactly about that! I really hope that by now he’s a crazy fan just like us. I’m very hopeful and he is a wonderful actor. Now hoping for the best about the screenwriters

I'm personally not familiar with any of the actors who will be playing The Beatles (I don't watch many movies ), but I'm interested to see the progression of how they'll step into their roles and how the stories will be presented.

I think they will do an incredible job even though unfortunately there is still too much left for the film, I expect a lot from them and I have faith that even though they are not the most similar they will do well their positions

I really have no interest in seeing these films. Am I the only one?
I’m certainly interested because it is a way of connecting with new people/new generations that will become fans, but that only if done correctly. I think it’s important to renew the ways of connecting with the Beatles and that using the language the new generations understand, which I believe is their target here. If they manage to do this in a respectful charming way it can be very positive, it can be a way to educate new people about their impact.

I'm positive about the movies! I want to spend these 3 years hoping for something good and wishing good energy to the whole team. I can't wait to see what else we'll have in the Beatles legacy and make new friends who will get to know the Beatles through these movies. :)

I know I’ll end up watching these! I hope, and this is true no matter the cast, that they’re made well and with care. I wonder if Yoko will be featured and I hope they’re able to combat some of the stereotypical Yoko portrayals if she is āœŒļø

I'm not too interested in seeing others play The Beatles when I can watch something with the band themselves in it. I'll probably still go to see them, but I guess it'll depend on what I think of the trailer(s).

I just hope that the films do have something interesting to say about the group. So many music biopics just boil down to a basic recapping of the artists history that more feels like a cinematic Wikipedia article. Luckily Sam Mendes is a good director so I have hope that it will be good.
