I especially love seeing how the sources were re-discovered for scanning and re-photographing the design elements (and always up for great font/kerning info!). And to hear about retired equipment at Abbey Road for the disc encoding/authoring - wow!!
What a great gift to John, Yoko, and art itself this box is. Looking forward to our imminent collective escape...!

"I was raised by real hippies. I grew up with the the I-Ching on the shelf and the coins and all sorts of mystical stuff.
Alex Aken designed the I-Ching coins, and they're very much like the I-Ching coins that my dad and mom used to use.
They've been slightly changed, they have John and Yoko in kanji on the coins, and they also have a different hole in the middle, it's not a square, it's a triangle.
Every element of the box set was designed and thought about lovingly and with a lot of intention and purpose."
There may be a few very good and lucky little girls and boys who get a super deluxe cube under the tree.
But all of us are blessed to have the complete music content streaming and the giant Mind Games Thames & Hudson art book edited by Simon Hilton, widely available at discount prices for holiday gifting, or to browse in bookstores & libraries.
