SEAN ONO LENNON INTERVIEW IN PEOPLE MAGAZINE

"Sean teases that more details hidden in the Super Deluxe set will be coming imminently. “The whole thing is intertwined in a way that eventually will reveal itself.”"

This was a wonderful read, thanks as always for sharing it here! I really enjoy the opportunity to hear Sean discussing his process for these projects. A very special blend of personal and practical, not unlike John and Yoko's alignment with Marshall McLuhan and 'the medium is the message.'

I greatly appreciate hearing how Yoko's conceptual ideas play a role, becoming (from what I infer in this article) to be the message transcending the medium entirely. Perhaps the love in the Mind Games box set experience providing just as much as the music itself.

This article states it perfectly (as do Elliot's comments), that there is no one in the universe who is more perfect for the job and these great opportunities. It's wonderful to know Sean is able to find and enjoy the treasures for himself in the making of these, and I'm just grateful to bear witness as a fan on the outside and come along for the John journey. :)

Such a beautiful interview. ❤️

We are so lucky for that. ❤️ Thank you, @Sean!

I generally avoid interviews when I can. But seems this one turned out well.

Really appreciated reading this interview 🤍 a lot of love that transcends to the fans. I hope Sean feel hugged by us the same way we feel hugged by him

It did! It's always very insightful, and a major positive difference to all the contrived and optics-based media out there today. I greatly appreciate you being so eloquent and affable in these discussions. I completely get your reticence for them, though. Thanks for doing them in spite of that, it means a lot.:)

I’ve been trying to think of a suitable way to describe what I think of @Sean and the way he conducts himself and the legacy and I cannot put it any better than @elliot mintz has:

Mintz adds: "He's done one brilliant job of doing that. Every mother should be as fortunate to have a son like Sean Ono Lennon. And every departed father who wanted to have a legacy maintained could not have assigned it to a better soul. Sean, to a significant degree, has dedicated now much of his waking hours, much of his life, to his mother and his father's legacy. I applaud him for that. I love him for that."

P.S @Good Dog Nigel can we have our own Sean Lennon section of this forum? He deserves it ☺️

Such a great Elliot Mintz quote you chose @Brian Of Nazareth
I’d never fully contemplated/understood the burden and responsibility that @Sean carries in caring for his father’s legacy - but it is huge. That he’s doing such a fantastic job of it is testament to the type of person he is and how talented he is too. This People interview and article is very insightful. Thanks so much for giving us a heads-up on it @Good Dog Nigel

"The second it came on, I hear ‘Darling, darling, darling… darling Sean.’” It was the fadeout of “Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)” the tropical-tinged lullaby John recorded for him months before his death. “It was so weird. He only says my name once, at the very end of the song. What are the chances? I'll never forget that. Again, I struggle with my own superstition. Obviously I admit that it's probably not magical… but it really felt like it was.”
Got my eyes teary! Beautiful.
