Yes Ingryd, Yoko's great, but I remember a time ( the 70s mainly ) when she was constantly abused and ridiculed, the majority of the Beatles fans hated her for a variety of false reasons, but most of John's fans respected her. I couldn't fathom how so-called fans could love John and hate Yoko, she was his muse for heaven sake! Anyway I'm glad she finally receives the attention she's always deserved!

Much of this hatred comes with a lot of sexism and xenophobia! They couldn't accept that Beatle John Lennon fell in love with a feminist and Asian woman.

Spot on! outfront racism from most people at the time, but John lived his life like an open book, in fact I must have been influenced as I also married an asian woman and had two boys with her! Lol! I must be a true fan!

In Your Mind - the Infinite Universe of Yoko Ono

The true, complete and deeply insightful story of the extraordinary woman John Lennon loved. The incredible love story of John and Yoko, their work together and her relationship to the Beatles is also explored. There are astounding details about Yoko's life (33 years before meeting Lennon, 12 years with him, and over 40 years of creativity since his death).

The author illuminates Ono's spiritual nature and wisdom in this detailed exploration of Yoko's heritage, her childhood, her art, films, music and activism for peace and women's rights. The undeserved negativity that Ono has received throughout her life as an Asian woman, a child of war in Japan and as the wife of one of the Beatles is explored. The author has followed Ono's career since the mid-1960s, assembling a vast media archive on the artist. Yoko's own voice, along with Lennon's and others (in cited, published interviews) tell her undeniably true story. Bocaro has spent valuable time with Ono, gaining incredible insight.
