This might be an obscure question for some, since we probably just listen to the finished-remastered songs of his.

However, there are home recordings that I really enjoyed listening to, that I appreciate solely in the context of the creation & variety. The chords & vocals are the only thing apparent. It's rawer in my personal opinion. There's more character in his voice overall. Not that the finalized ones don't have that element because they surely do. It's just delightful to hear his vocals and guitar playing, without the extra embellishments.

One of my favorites !

One of my favorites !

She is a Friend of Dorothy, or Mirror Mirror. Such amazing songs.
She is a Friend of Dorothy would have been a great opening track or single

Whatever Happened To... is a fantastic rocker. Would have liked to hear it played by the full Double Fantasy band.

One of my favorites !

the original piano version of "Real love" as featured on the Anthology, and the original 6 minutes "Now and then" demo, very emotional

Perhaps not technically a demo, but the end of the ā€˜stripped downā€™ Dear Yoko (one of my favourite John songs anyway) having his little ā€˜diary entryā€™ about his meal and getting a portrait painted is so cute.

I also love the Nobody Told Me one where he says that ā€˜this oneā€™s for Ringo!ā€™
