John and Yoko in 1980 are so captivating to me, thanks for sharing

Of course John is uber cool at all stages of his life, but if there was anyone on the planet as cool as he in 1966, I can't think of any! This period offered some of my very favorite photos of John.

I always save photos to draw or paint. This is one of them. I wanted to paint it because I saw a certain... symbolism. And I also like the composition and movement.

Tonight we watched a special on CNN, Jimmy Carter - Rock and Roll President.

He was elected in 1976, against great odds, with the support of musicians and the youth vote.
He campaigned to turn the country from the evil legacy of Richard Nixon, who used the FBI to try to deport John for his anti- Vietnam War activity.

There was a brief glimpse of John and Yoko in the audience at his inaugural ball.

Carter was proud that from that day forward, during four years as president,
'We never dropped a bomb. We never fired a bullet. We never went to war'.

Carter was a great man. The first president to put solar panels on the roof of the White House. Unfortunately, America rejected him. Because America for some bizarre reason sees goodness as weakness.

I think John and Yoko both looked really beautiful there - his hairstyle is one of his best ever, in my opinion.
