Description
Unique collection featuring two original Hit Factory cassette tapes of Yoko Ono recordings and an 8" x 10" black-and-white photograph by Bob Gruen, depicting John Lennon, Yoko Ono, and Eddie Germano in a candid moment at the studio. Each cassette, measuring 4" x 3", is labeled with handwritten track titles such as 'It's Alright,' 'Wake Up,' 'Let the Tears Dry,
'Tomorrow May Never Come,' and others. These tracks align with the themes and style found in Ono's album 'It's Alright (I See Rainbows),' released in 1982, suggesting these tapes are related to her work from this period. In very good condition, with minimal wear typical of studio-use items, this lot provides an intimate look at Ono's creative process and her time at the Hit Factory with Lennon and Germano. The photograph, stamped on the back with Bob Gruen's information, adds a personal and historic touch, highlighting the connection between the Hit Factory and the legendary duo. A valuable addition for collectors of music history and Yoko Ono's recording legacy. From the Danielle Germano Collection and accompanied by her letter of provenance.
