The Next Generation…I’m trying my best.

To carry on with my solo mission of converting every generation of child into Beatles/Lennon fans, I’ve written a Christmas story for my school children to act out in our Christmas play. We’re now in week three of rehearsals, and I’m currently trying to teach them Happy Xmas (War Is Over) for the big performance at the end. I teach in quite a deprived area and, bless them, they’re trying their absolute best. It’s so lovely to hear this beautiful song being sang by children (sometimes in tune 🤣).

Any words of wisdom from you lot so I can pass on to them? It would mean the world to them.

@Good Dog Nigel @Sean 😊

Hmm. Well I would guess it's best to just see what happens as you can't force anything.

I was having this conversation the other day with a person in their early 20's. How they also Love the Beatles and they like when people discover them for the First Time.
.

i see it. There is a massive discovering of the Beatles among the younger generation. They have that Spirit of the 60's. Frank Zappa has a thing or two to say about the 60's and the Flower Power thing.

Very noble Sir! Keep on!

So in the latest episode of ‘Beatlewashing the next generation’ My class (and the other two classes in my department) performed Happy Xmas (War is Over) as part of our Christmas concert. It was wonderful and well worth the FIVE weeks of rehearsals! 🤣

I can’t post it here for obvious reasons but the families watching had goosebumps! I’m sure @Sean and @Good Dog Nigel would have too! 😊

Just believe! There is nothing more beautiful than children singing.I was a school teacher for over 35 years and I had to stand in the back of the auditorium because I would always cry. It doesn't matter what you plan because things just happen....go with it!
Good luck and bless you.
