A great, knowledgable and informative interview with bass player Gary van Scyoc. And lovely to see how excited he is about it all as well. "I waited 53 years for this to come out..."
It's incredible

None of the links I’ve found have been workingChris Hawkins with Sean Ono Lennon on BBC Radio 6: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002jjfh
From 01:03:00 on Sean semi-live from New York City. Including the debut of the new remix of the afternoon show performance of 'Imagine', previously released on the 80s release.
Sean talks about the Grammy win for the Mind Games box set, and of course the upcoming Power to the People boxset, just as the 1971–73 political period in general, along with the One to One documentary. They dive into the technical headaches of mixing the 1972 MSG benefit shows, Sean stressing his father never really fell out of love with music, just with the industry.
He describes the Some Time in New York City sessions are as raw, fast and impulsive, recorded in a true rock and roll spirit that feels almost punk, even proto-punk. And there’s a mention of the graphic design work by Liz Hirsch.
I had to virtually teleport myself to the UK to listen as well. I don't think the staff members will appreciate it if I post a rip, but you know where to find meNone of the links I’ve found have been working![]()

Loved this episode @Sean ! Hearing you say that listening to unreleased conversations/song recordings was like getting to spend more time with your dad REALLY got me. For us, it’s like we’re getting to know one of our favorite musicians one track at a time
Simply magnificent everything I heard, I marvel to know that, everything Sean are experiencing, and seeing with the incredible work he have been doing, so many new things, simply I loved everything![]()
