I loved John's take on all of those songs. My favorites are Stand By Me and You Can't Catch Me, but I have to give an honorable mention to a song that was on Roots, but didn't make it to Rock 'N Roll... Be My Baby. John's voice is so haunting on this track.
I've long said that if/when they do a R'n'R box, I hope they put the Roots album, with the original mixes, in there as an extra.

I am happy to see so many others appreciate the Rock n Roll album. It is one of the best! I love it when John sang Rock n Roll. Slippin' and Slidin is my favorite.
