My Mind Can Feel - The John&Yoko Book Club
Hi, everybody! Welcome to a new activity here at the Citizen of Nutopia forum!Understanding how much John&Yoko fans are engaged in reading, and having realized how most of us don’t have anybody to talk to about the fascinating world we dive into whenever we are getting to know more about the two iconic figures we love, I had the idea of starting a Book Club here!
Now, thank you to the John Lennon Estate, we have this forum where we can discuss all things John&Yoko with like-minded people, so let’s make good use of it and have a great time together!
Here we will read and talk about new books, revisit old ones, get to know each other more, celebrate our two favorite artists and who knows, maybe share a few moments with the authors of our favorite books! Always focused on John&Yoko.
In order to keep the navigation in the forum simple, this will be an organized project so read the information on this text to comprehend how it will happen.
This project has an actual book club organization, with selected periods, dates and books. We’ll be focused on discussing the books we’ll be currently reading (take a look at the schedule below). I have already organized a few dates and I’ll always indicate on which page of the thread the ongoing conversation is happening. The books will always be selected in advance so everybody interested in reading with us we’ll have the time to purchase or find them. Now and then we’ll have simultaneous conversations about more than one book to work along with the new releases. Between a lengthier reading and another, the idea is to dedicate ourselves to photographs books and have lighter chats. Longer books will require longer periods on the schedule, especially since some of us don’t live in the USA or UK and we have to wait for the books to be delivered.
You don’t have to finish the book to talk about it here! Feel free to share with us your thoughts on a page, quote or chapter that interested you and that you’d like to know what everybody else thinks.
Wanting to create a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for everybody, the books were and will be chosen taking in consideration the topics addressed in them, to guarantee a nice and uncomplicated reading. No books on disrespectful and untruthful subjects will be selected. This is a community, please be respectful towards your fellow Nutopians and their opinions, as well as towards the Ono-Lennons.
Current schedule:
Mind Games standalone book - From Sept 24th to Nov 15th;
We All Shine On: John, Yoko and Me - by Elliot Mintz - From Oct 22nd to Nov 30th;
Dream Lovers | John and Yoko in NYC - by Brian Hamill - From Dec 1st to Dec 15th.
In celebration of the absolutely brilliant and successful Mind Games Ultimate Collection we will start the Book Club by reading and discussing together the new Mind Games standalone book that will be out this Tuesday!
The book was produced by the John Lennon Estate and features rare photographs, interesting and well researched information and exclusive interviews with the people that were there in 1973 working with J&Y.

Book suggestion:
Life's Fragile Moments - by Julian Lennon - Out now in Germany, wider release next month in Europe and out in America later in the fall.
Although we won't discuss it here inside the John&Yoko Book Club, we will soon start a new thread to celebrate and talk about Julian's book. Meanwhile, take a look at the book here!I hope this will be fun, entertaining and make us all feel that we are not alone, we can share our loves and interests. We are all together - in Nutopia.
This is a non-profitable project and it’s a dynamic dedicated to the fans.
