I'm joining on the "Stand By Me" train...
I first watched the movie of the same name as a young teenager, so that and the song have been a pivotal part of me transitioning from a child to young adult. So to hear that John covered this when I first got into The Beatles was MAJOR! Definitely a sign I was headed in the right direction

Abso-bloody-lutley!! It's one of "my all time favorites" of John doing a cover of one of HIS "all time favorites" (but also I do love the original as well "Give my love to Rosie.." ⚘️). So much to enjoy in this one.Angel Baby is INCREDIBLE

Love these! Twist And Shout is a classic and it's shocking that he didn't like how his voice sounded while singing it.Without a doubt, "Stand By Me" is at the top!!

Yeah I thought maybe it's bc he was sick and knew it, therefore wasn't at his best, but it sounds pretty good for being sick!!

I love the way he modulates his voice to make it sound cheerful on "Ain't that a shame"! And from the Spector sessions, two songs really are insanely brilliant : "To know her is to love her" and "Be my baby"!
