After searching for around 35 years, I now have the two pairs of glasses that John wore from 1979 to 1980 at home... The Japanese eyewear manufacturer has been producing them again since 2020.
I'm going to have prescription lenses fitted in the pair with the slightly blue-tinted lenses, then everything will be perfect.

Yes! At half price (via eBay Germany). The best part was that they arrived within three (!!!) days—from Japan to Europe... I was amazed! It's not uncommon for packages sent from Germany to Germany to take three days or even longer to reach the recipient. Unbelievable!
