favorite short story/poem from "in his own write"?

hi everyone!

this question popped into my head and i thought i'd share. i have owned a copy of "in his own write" since high school, and used to read it with my friends inbetween classes. we loved putting on the funny voices and had so many inside jokes centered around the stories!

my favorite was always "nicely, nicely clive".
 
I Sat Belonely

In the 1990s I was in college and was working on a minor degree in theater arts. In one of my theater classes, we had to perform a poem. I performed "I Sat Belonely" and got an A+ on the project.

My favorite is The Wrestling Dog. Not only because of the short story itself, but also because of John's declamation of it. When, 5 years ago, I watched the video of him reading it, that was the first moment I truly realized I love him and that his impact on me was a very powerful one. I can still feel the sensation I felt that day!
