Today’s Double Fantasy 44th anniversary!

John&Yoko’s heartfelt masterpiece and Grammy winner is my absolute favorite album of all times.

The autobiographical essence of the album is what makes it exceptional!

I constantly feel Yoko’s songs are underappreciated and, as I said on Xitter just now, John’s songs wouldn’t make sense with Yoko’s, it’s a fantasy of the two of them after all!

What is your favorite track from this album?

Mine are Woman and Yes, I’m Your Angel 🤍

“Cleanup Time” will always be number one for me, I hardly hear anyone showing some love for that one!! The transition from “I’m Losing You” to “I’m Moving On” is PERFECTION! 🤍
I have to confess Cleanup Time was the only one I didn’t feel like listening to much but after listening to Sean’s Stripped Down version it has become a favorite!

I’m Moving On is one of my all time favourites of John and Yoko’s discography. I love the entire album so much and it’s good to come back to it after a while of not listening - especially with it having some of the most well known John songs ever.

I adore Starting Over too. So hopeful, so full of love and the still giddy joy that John and Yoko had even at this point of their relationship.

A wonderful album, that like almost all of John and Yoko's career, together and apart, is a fascinating entry into their world in that moment and the feelings they had throughout. It inhabits a mini universe of its own, and one that grows in strength because of the untapped potential and unfulfilled promise it holds.

I love watching the video of its Grammy win, though I get a bit misty every time...

The Grammy win is the honor both John and Yoko deserved after such a splendid and unique collaboration of art and undying love.

Yoko's and Sean's reaction when they announced it breaks my heart

Love those! And I looove the original Starting Over music video, it matches the lyrics so well, even John’s sketches about staying in bed again 😊
